Write to hello@vyntel.com. Aditya Sharma, who makes Jivari, reads every message.

Say which device and version of iOS you use, and what you saw. A screenshot helps.

When can I download it?
Jivari is in development and not yet on the App Store. It comes to iPhone first. The Android version follows once Vyntel’s Google Play developer account is verified. Write to hello@vyntel.com if you would like to hear when it is out.
What is free?
Levels 1 to 4: Sa and Pa, then Sa, Ga, Ma and Pa, then the seven Bilawal swaras, then Bilawal swaras after a named reference swara. Every setting is free, and the free levels stay free.
What does the Full ladder cost?
One payment: ₹999 in India, $14.99 in the US, and Apple’s regional price in other countries. It opens levels 5 to 12 with the komal and tivra swaras, and Test and Pocket modes. There is no subscription. Family Sharing is on, so your family group gets it too.
Where does the purchase screen appear?
Once, in the session summary when you finish level 4. You can open it at any time from Settings, Full ladder.
How do I restore my purchase on a new phone?
Sign in with the same Apple Account, then open Settings and tap Restore purchase. The purchase screen has the same button.
I have a code. Where do I enter it?
Settings, Redeem code, or Redeem code on the purchase screen. Apple’s own sheet takes the code, and levels 5 to 12 open when the App Store confirms it.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are made through Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Why does Sa keep changing?
So that you learn each swara by its distance from Sa. If Sa stayed put, you could learn the pitches themselves, and that would not help when your teacher or your tanpura is tuned somewhere else.
Just or equal tuning?
Just intonation is the default. Equal temperament matches a harmonium. Switch in Settings, Tuning, where both tables are shown in cents above Sa.
Is the sound recorded?
No. Every sound is synthesized on the phone as it plays. There are no recordings in the app.
Does Jivari use the microphone?
No. Jivari never asks for the microphone.
Where is my progress kept?
Only on your phone. Each answer is kept in a log in the app’s own storage, and your levels are worked out from it. Nothing is synced between devices. Deleting the app deletes the log, unless your device backup includes it.
Is Jivari available in France?
No. Jivari is not sold in France.
What is still being built?
The tanpura drone (the current drone is plain tones on Sa and mandra Pa), more voices for the swaras (sung, bansuri, harmonium and sitar), Test and Pocket modes, and the screens for levels 10 to 12.
